Multiroom

Multiroom audio-visual systems give you the ability to watch and listen to whatever you want wherever in your home you choose.

In broad terms, multiroom solutions fall into three categories.

Multiroom television systems are primarily designed to allow you to watch television throughout your home by distributing your television aerial signal to each room. These systems can be adapted to distribute the output of digital, satellite and cable 'set-top' boxes or DVD players.

Multiroom audio systems are primarily designed to distribute audio throughout your home from a centrally located hi-fi or music server.

Multiroom video systems are primarily designed to distribute video throughout your home from a centrally located hi-fi, DVD player and/or media server. These systems do not distribute television aerial signals around the home (so they are often installed alongside a multiroom television system) and can't distribute high definition signals. However, most multiroom video systems do include multiroom audio capability.

Most multiroom systems use wires to connect the various component together but there are some wireless systems available.
